The Rhythm of Their Souls

I've been deprived of normalcy since the day I was born, lacking the needed essential nourishment that my starving soul yearns for.

Desperately, I've hoped that someone or something would come along and bring me back to life, but small kernels of my withered being have wanted to give up. Past and present wounds continue to surface, giving small, unwanted reminders of my fate.

This is my own personal nightmare.

How was I to know that a mysterious man would enter my presence, causing my soul to instantly react?
Why is he here? Did he come to save me from my nightmare?

The burning question remains:
Does he hold the cure for my damaged soul?
